9 Tips to Help You Burn Off the Baby Weight

1. Wait 6-8 weeks after delivery before starting any serious exercise. Make sure to check with your doctor before exercising.

2. Set out to lose about one pound a week. More than this is unhealthy for you.

3. Give your body time to lose weight. You’ll be surprised at how much weight you lose naturally after giving birth.

4. Cardio activity, such as walking and bike riding, is a good way to shed the pounds.

5. Remember to eat a healthy and well-balanced diet.

6. Be optimistic about your weight loss. Don’t be discourage by the last five or 10 pounds you are trying to lose. It may take time to lose the last of the weight.

7. Take your baby out in his or her stroller for a walk to get fresh air and some exercise if the weather is nice.

8. Exercise while your baby is napping or while he or she is playing in their playpen. This gives you time to do something for yourself and still be near your baby.

9. As your baby gets older, you’re likely to shed more pounds as you chase him or her around.
